2018 Saskatoon Property Taxes On The Rise

As an award winning Century 21 Fusion SASKATOON REAL Estate agent I know Saskatoon,Warman and the surrounding area extremely well. I take action to sell my client’s homes. In addition I pride myself on being on top of the latest real estate news. The most recent announcement from Saskatoon City Hall is that 2018 Saskatoon Property Taxes are slated to increase. There will be a  4.7 per cent in 2018 after the city council approved a budget that also keeps the Meewasin Valley Authority (MVA) running.

The 2018 Saskatoon Property Taxes increase means the owner of an average home in Saskatoon with an assessed value of $371,000 will pay an additional $81.84 in property taxes in 2018 compared to the previous year.

Council also added to the 2018 Saskatoon property taxes rate Tuesday with a $240,000 increase in parks maintenance. Another $125,000 was allocated for a senior fire inspector in the fire services budget. The city’s total operating budget for next year is roughly $491 million.
